Strengthening Connections in Energy Innovation

Discover the power of collaboration at iDesignRES. Our Network and Collaboration page showcases the synergies and partnerships that fuel our project's success. Engage with our network of experts, institutions, and industry leaders who are collectively driving advancements in sustainable energy.

Sister Projects

The European Forum for Energy and Climate Transition (EFECT) brings together European expertise in energy and climate modelling. EFECT was established in 2021 and their members include leading European universities and research institutions working in energy and climate modelling, as well as relevant stakeholders. EFECT's goal is to contribute to better understanding the groundbreaking energy and climate transition in Europe. By focusing on open and transparent modelling processes, EFECT aims to develop tools open for use by all stakeholders, fostering a more robust energy and climate modelling capacity across Europe.

Mopo is iDesignRES’ sister project. They were both funded under the same call on Energy system modelling, optimisation and planning tools (HORIZON-CL5-2022-D3-01-13). The Mopo project combines component tools producing input data to create model-ready datasets, scenario and workflow management, and medium and long-term energy system planning. The aim is to provide a user-friendly, open-source and validated set of tools to benefit decision-makers in network operation, industry and public authorities. The project is based on existing state-of-the-art tools including Spine Toolbox and SpineOpt.
