The Paul Scherrer Institute is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland, conducting cutting-edge research in future technologies, energy and climate, health innovation and nature fundamentals. The Energy Economics Group (EEG) at PSI performs economic and sustainable development assessments of future energy systems.

Partner Role

EEG is involved in developing energy system modelling tools (WP2) and data collection (WP1) at the NUTS2 level. It also participates in validating the iDesignRES toolbox for the North Sea, Lombardy, South-Eastern Europe, and Greater Basque regions (WP3 & WP5). Finally, EEG contributes to the database and cloud platforms (WP4) and dissemination strategies (WP6).
