iDesignRES participated in ECEMP 2025
On 16-17 October 2025, iDesignRES participated in the European Climate and Energy Modelling Platform (ECEMP) 2025 conference in Brussels, a key forum bringing together the European climate and energy modelling community to support policy-relevant analysis of the energy transition.
The conference welcomed in-depth exchanges on methodological and governance challenges in energy and climate modelling, with discussions focusing in particular on model transparency, scenario harmonisation, and multi-sector system integration. Strong emphasis was placed on improving the robustness, comparability, and usability of modelling results to better inform policy and implementation.
Participation in ECEMP 2025 helped position iDesignRES within broader European modelling efforts, while supporting targeted knowledge exchange with peer projects and initiatives working on collaborative, open and high-resolution modelling approaches relevent to the project’s objectives.
We can’t wait to host the conference within the next years.
