An internal iDesignRES Modellers Meeting will take place in Zurich on 23–24 March 2026, bringing together project partners involved in energy system modelling activities.
The meeting is designed as a focused technical workshop to review modelling progress, align methodologies, and coordinate upcoming tasks across the project.
The main objective of the meeting is to advance the modelling work supporting the iDesignRES scenarios and case studies, while ensuring consistency between partners’ approaches and datasets.
The Zurich meeting will concentrate on the latest modelling developments within the project, with a particular focus on the North Sea case study. Preliminary results (including the base-year dataset prepared by GeoMec and already available in the Scenario Explorer) will be presented and discussed.
The agenda will also include:
- Comprehensive updates on ongoing work in WP3 and WP4
- Discussion of modelling assumptions and intermediate results
- Coordination of next steps and preparation activities for WP5.
