The European Energy Market Conference 2026 (EEM26) will take place on 22–24 June 2026 in Trondheim, Norway.
This annual international conference provides a forum for presenting and discussing the latest developments in European energy markets.
For more than twenty years, the conference has brought together experts from academia, industry and policymaking to exchange knowledge on key topics such as energy system modelling, market design, regulatory frameworks, climate policies, technological innovation, energy storage and the hydrogen economy.
The 2026 edition is organised by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), SINTEF Energy Research and the IEEE Power & Energy Society Norway Chapter, under the auspices of the IEEE Power & Energy Society.
EEM26 will provide an opportunity for the iDesignRES project to exchange with the wider European energy research community and present its work on energy system modelling and scenario development.
Participation in the conference will support the dissemination of project results and contribute to discussions on future energy market developments and the transition towards a climate-neutral European energy system.
