On April 26, 2025, iDesignRES was featured at the Greek Electrical and Computer Engineering Student Conference (ECESCON) in Thessaloniki, the largest student-led engineering conference in Greece. Our partner IPTO (Independent Power Transmission Operator) represented the project during this high-profile event, which gathers students and professionals from across the country in fields such as Power Systems, Control Systems, Electronics, Telecommunications, and Information Technology.

During the session, IPTO presented the objectives and use cases of the iDesignRES project, highlighting the importance of designing resilient, sustainable energy systems to support Europe’s energy transition. The presentation also showcased IPTO’s key contributions to the project and its ongoing efforts to enhance energy infrastructures.

Participation in ECESCON offered a valuable opportunity to engage with the next generation of engineers and raise awareness of the innovative work being carried out within iDesignRES.
